Lake Ivösjön

At an area of 5420 ha and average depth of 11 m, Ivö Lake is Skåne's biggest lake.
Ivö Lake is also one of the most diverse fishing lakes in Sweden with 25-30 different kinds of fish. Here you'll find everything from pike to salmon. Fishing here requires a pass which we can help our guests arrange. We also offer boats, with or without motor, for hire.

Life jackets. We have a complete package for a fishing holiday, in self-catering cabin with boat, fishing pass, life jacket and lake pass. The best time for a fishing holiday is April-May and September-October.

Pike

When fishing for pike you need a knack for finding them; once you have found pike in one place, you then look in similar places, if you find them in a southwest bay, you then continue on to the new southwest bay.

Pike like deep water, near steep drops and sunken rock. They creep further into the bays and up into shallower waters in the evening and early in the morning.

A light wind is good when fishing for pike.

Bait - preferably smaller fish such as roach. In shallow reeds, the bait should be kept near the bottom.
